Advert We have an exciting permanent opportunity to join our Community Pathways team as a Caretaker/Handy Person. As part of this role you will be responsible for the day to day duties including key holding, testing fire alarm and working in line with robust Policy and Procedures outlined by ERC. You would carry out minor repairs and report faults out-with this remit directly to the duty manager. We need someone who has good communication Skills, has a good understanding of DIY including Health and Safety and Moving and Handling Skills. We need the right person to be able to work alone as well as being part of a team. It is essential that you hold a full UK license. Ideally the successful post holder will also have previous experience working as a caretaker or similar role. Some understanding of people with additional support needs would be advantageous, however this is not essential. This post is considered Regulated Work with Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. It is an offence therefore to apply if you are barred from working with protected adults. In addition to this, if you have lived or worked in any country outside the UK in the past 10 years, there may be a requirement for an overseas police check.
