Overview
The purpose of this role is to support the development and execution of communications strategies and plans across the organisation. At the same time, this role is pivotal in helping to promote our vision, mission and values, enhancing our reputation and delivering our internal and external communications.
This is a part time role at 60% FTE and the salary will be prorated accordingly.
Key responsibilities:
· Researching, writing, editing and distributing content for external channels including press releases, blog posts, thought-leadership pieces, website content, newsletters, email marketing, and social media posts
· Contributing to and creating content for internal channels including SharePoint intranet pages, monthly internal newsletter, whole-company emails and other relevant methods to maintain employee engagement
· Supporting the handling of media enquiries, while building and enhancing relationships with sector journalists and other media organisations
· Contributing to communications strategies and plans to ensure all messaging continues to align with our vision, mission and values, while maintaining a consistent tone-of-voice within our brand guidelines
· Managing communications-related enquiries received via the Communications inbox
· Supporting the management of social media plans and channels including Facebook, LinkedIn and X, engaging with audiences and acting appropriately where necessary to protect our reputation
· Monitoring and reporting of media coverage, as well as other mentions of the organisation and services
Event support including photography, external promotion and merchandise sourcing
Skills and experience required:
* Experience using web CMS, digital design and content editing tools
* Experience in Photoshop, InDesign and/or Premier Pro (desirable)
* A track record of engaging diverse audiences through digital platforms
* A collaborative approach and ability to work with multiple stakeholders
* A qualification in media, or communications (or equivalent experience)

· Strong writing and editing skills
· Experience/interest in content creation and marketing
· Excellent time management and well organised with ability to prioritise
· Good team player and willing to learn
· Excellent communicator
· Flexible and adaptable to change
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint etc); Content Management Systems such as WordPress; SharePoint; and social media tools such as Hootsuite
