Responsibilities
Oversee day‑to‑day running of a busy delivery operation.
Lead a team of drivers and pickers, motivating them to achieve daily targets and maintain high customer satisfaction.
Ensure the Delivered Department complies with company policy and procedures, applying them consistently with all team members.
Communicate important management information to all relevant team members.
Maintain a safe working environment for colleagues and customers, reporting any Health & Safety concerns to the Store Management team.
Promote and uphold brand image through product knowledge, excellent customer service, and strict adherence to company guidelines.
Support the delivery manager with vehicle roadworthiness and legal compliance.
Plan and coordinate tasks to ensure all are completed effectively and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
Experience supervising a small to medium sized team, in a warehouse or transport setting.
Experience working in a customer‑focused environment.
Knowledge of Health & Safety practices and relevant legislation.
Management CPC would be advantageous.
Strong telephone and customer service skills.
Valid drivers’ licence and willingness to work early or late shifts.
Additional Information
We can only accept candidates over the age of 18 if the role requires working before 6:15 am or after 9:45 pm or involves driving.
