The Role
As a Workshop Engineer, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and overhaul of a wide range of industrial pumps and associated equipment. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong mechanical knowledge and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities
* Strip, inspect, and rebuild a variety of industrial pumps (centrifugal, gear, etc.)
* Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently
* Replace components such as bearings, seals, and shafts
* Carry out pressure testing and performance checks
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
* Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health & safety
* Maintain accurate service and inspection records
Requirements
* Proven experience working with industrial pumps in a workshop environment
* Strong mechanical engineering background
* Experience with fault finding and equipment rebuilds
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
* Familiarity with rotating equipment (desirable)
* Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team
