Job Description
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work within a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) setting. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students with additional needs, helping to re-engage them with their education in a structured and supportive environment.
The Role:
* Provide targeted support to students with SEN and behavioural needs
* Work with small groups or on a 1:1 basis to support learning and development
* Help manage behaviour and promote a positive learning environment
* Support students in developing confidence, independence, and engagement
Requirements:
* HLTA status or a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
* Previous experience working in a PRU, SEN, or alternative provision setting
* Strong behaviour management and communication skills
* Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
* A calm, resilient, and proactive approach
