Role Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Forensic Psychologist (RFP) to join a pioneering team at HMP York, committed to rehabilitation and psychological support for both prisoners and staff.
You ll be working under the supervision of a Principal Psychologist, delivering high-quality psychological services that meet HCPC standards. This is a supportive environment with opportunities for development and progression.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide specialist psychological assessments and interventions
* Contribute to the supervision and support of Trainee Psychologists
* Ensure services adhere to HCPC Standards of Proficiency and Ethics
* Support rehabilitation programmes and prisoner resettlement initiatives
* Assist with parole assessments and report writing
* Help develop strategies to reduce reoffending
Requirements
* Registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
* Experience within secure or custodial settings is advantageous
* Familiarity with the Parole Board process and psychological risk assessments (desirable)
* RAPP registration (desirable)
