Support the Trade Compliance team in setting and executing the Trade Compliance strategy to realise growth ambitions.
Responsibilities
* Lead the Trade Compliance relationship (both core technical and technology consulting) with key clients.
* Develop and mentor Trade Compliance team members following the Enhanced PwC Professional framework.
* Contribute to and, where relevant, lead wider technical Trade Compliance propositions, advice, and provide alternative or second technical sign‑off when required.
* Serve as Digital Lead, developing and executing the technology strategy for the Trade Compliance team.
* Drive the client agenda on trade compliance technological enablement and develop relevant technology propositions, solutions, and services.
* Lead the strategy on Trade Compliance technology build/buy/rent to meet market expectations, covering SAP GTS implementation support, data‑led automation of customs reporting, and client‑facing tools for classification, origin, governance and reporting.
* Lead the Trade Compliance technology relationship, building networks across Tax (T&T) and other Lines of Service (Consulting) to ensure market delivery of PwC's trade compliance tech capabilities.
* Manage vendor, JBR, and Alliance relationships where agreed.
* Provide advice and guidance to clients on customs, excise duties, CBAM, VAT, GST, sales tax and other indirect taxes, covering planning, compliance, and strategy.
Qualifications
* Extensive experience in trade compliance.
* Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, focusing on understanding needs and delivering value‑added solutions.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with ability to leverage data and technology for decision‑making.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to articulate complex tax technology concepts to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
* Experience leading and developing a team of high‑performing practitioners.
