The OpportunityA leading organisation within the professional services sector is seeking a Finance Manager – Legal to join their growing team. This confidential role offers the chance to lead financial management and ensure regulatory compliance within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
The RoleYou will support the senior leadership team with financial oversight, reporting, and management of client and office accounts. The position plays a crucial part in ensuring compliance with industry regulations, particularly the SRA Accounts Rules, and protecting client monies.
Key responsibilities include:
Supervision of Legal Cashiering activities, including client payments, reconciliations, and compliance.
Implementation of financial processes to ensure regulatory adherence.
Oversight of billing, invoicing, and production of management accounts.
Preparation of detailed weekly KPIs and monthly reporting.
Support with budgeting and target setting.
VAT returns and statutory filings liaison.
Management of credit control, purchase ledger, and cashflow.
Deputy COFA responsibilities.
About YouYou will have solid finance experience, ideally within a legal or professional services setting, and a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements including the SRA Accounts Rules. You should have excellent leadership skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to deliver accurate reporting in a deadline-driven environment.
