Summary:

We're looking for a Production Planning & Scheduling Manager to lead our above-ground Operations function.

This isn't just about moving parts; it's about keeping the water flowing for millions of customers.

You'll oversee a talented team of Planners and Schedulers, ensuring planners identify and resolve dependencies for each job so they are ready to be scheduled, and that our schedulers are maximising our systems to create the most efficient workdays possible for our field teams.

The role will require occasional travel each month to other South East Water locations such as Barcombe (East Sussex) and Boxalls Lane (Hampshire).

Main responsibilities
Manage and develop a team of Maintenance Planners and Schedulers.
Set clear objectives, monitor performance, and provide coaching and mentoring.
Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Oversee the planning and scheduling of preventive and corrective maintenance work orders.
Ensure accurate job plans, resource allocation, and material availability.
Optimise scheduling to minimise equipment downtime and maximise workforce efficiency.
Monitor backlog and prioritise work based on business needs.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Maintain compliance with company policies, industry standards, and statutory requirements.
Drive standardisation of planning and scheduling processes across the team.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance work management efficiency.
Utilise CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) to track and optimise work orders.
Analyse KPIs (e.g., schedule compliance, PM completion rate, backlog levels) and report performance.
Collaborate with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure effective maintenance delivery.
Communicate plans, progress, and performance to senior management and stakeholders.You'll need:
Skills / Qualifications / Experience
Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or related discipline
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Proficiency in CMMS systems and maintenance best practices.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.

Compensation package:

up to £50,000 p.a. (dependent on experience) + car allowance of £6254 p.a
