We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Director/Business Development Director with a strong background in Chemistry Services. This PE-backed organization is growing rapidly and changing the market in the drug discovery and development world in recent times. They are built on state-of-the-art technology with 100's of patents, and this has led to multiple deals worth $100's of millions.
The successful candidate will be a driven and results-oriented individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets and increase revenue
2. Identify and prospect new clients and maintain relationships with existing clients
3. Understand the chemistry services offered by the company and effectively communicate their benefits to potential clients
4. Attend trade shows, conferences, and other industry events to promote the company's services and generate leads
5. Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and stakeholders
6. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop marketing materials and campaigns
7. Provide feedback to the management team on market trends, client needs, and competitor activity
8. Keep up-to-date with industry developments and trends
Qualifications
9. Bachelor's degree or above in Science (PhD in Chemistry would be ideal)
10. Minimum 2 years' experience in sales, preferably in the chemistry or life science industry
11. Bench Scientist experience in Pharmaceutical or Biotech company is a plus
12. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
13. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
14. Strong negotiation and closing skills
15. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
16. Over 25% of travel is required
