Logistics Co-ordinator

Hours: Full Time (40 hours per week)
The Logistics Co-ordinator is responsible for supporting the efficient, safe, and compliant operation of the company’s transport and material handling activities. This role ensures vehicles and MHE equipment are properly maintained, driver compliance is upheld at all times, fuel efficiency is monitored, and logistics data is accurately captured and maintained.

Skills required
* Previous experience in a logistics, transport, or warehouse coordination role.
* Good understanding of vehicle maintenance, MHE equipment, and basic transport compliance principles.
* Confident communicator, able to deal professionally with drivers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
* Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Experience using logistics, fleet, or warehouse management systems.
* Ability to remain calm and effective when dealing with breakdowns or operational issues.
* Good analytical skills, particularly when reviewing fuel usage or driver performance data.
Duties will include
* Capture and maintain accurate records of all vehicle and MHE (Material Handling Equipment) servicing, inspections, defects, and maintenance schedules.
* Liaise with approved suppliers, service providers, and repair agents to arrange planned maintenance and manage unplanned repairs.
* Deal with vehicle and equipment breakdowns, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to operations.
* Act as the central point of contact for drivers, providing day to day support and ensuring adherence to company policies and legal compliance.
* Monitor driver behaviour and fuel usage, analysing data to identify trends and improvements in fuel efficiency and driving standards.
* Support initiatives aimed at improving safety, compliance, and cost control across the fleet.
* Update and maintain the warehouse and logistics database with accurate, real time information.
* Assist with compliance documentation including MOTs, inspections, servicing records, and operator licence requirements where applicable.
* Communicate effectively with internal departments to support smooth logistics and distribution operations.
