Position
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Healthcare Support Worker at University Hospital Ayr.
What you will do:
Working within the main theatre department, you should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have the ability to work cohesively within the multidisciplinary team. You should be committed to providing a high standard of care supporting nurses and other members of the multidisciplinary team and have a genuine interest in this area of work.
You will be required to carry out a range of clinical care tasks and other duties delegated and in support of a registered nurse.
You will be supported in your learning by provision of a mentor and undertake any in-house training regularly as well as external training opportunities when available.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
SVQ3 in Healthcare related subject and / or equivalent knowledge gained in a relevant area through experience, on the job training and/or short courses or appropriate competency to undertake role.
Can demonstrate a range of core skills to competently undertake patient care and other tasks and activities.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
