Our client is an international law firm considered one of the UK’s most prestigious law firms and known for their insight & diverse perspectives, they are now looking for an innovative and positive Learning & Development Manager to join their London offices on a permanent basis.
The main responsibilities for the Learning & Development Manager will be support the strategic management of leadership programmes and D&I initiatives for fee-earners, business services and clients. The Learning & Development Manager will be directly responsible for the Learning & Development Co-ordinator while being a member of the internal coaching faculty.
The key duties will include:
1. Leading the design, delivery and evaluation of the programmes developed for the senior associate population.
2. Leading on Learning & Development Manager initiatives that drive the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion ambitions such as unconscious bias & mental health and wellbeing.
3. Supporting suppliers, partners, practice manager and HR with projects involving learning needs (e.g. annual conference)
4. Acting as an internal coach, providing coaching for clients and supporting others to develop their coaching skills.
5. Conducting training needs analysis across client groups and implementing appropriate development interventions.
6. Assisting with Learning & Development Manager team resourcing, including screening, interviewing and on-boarding and budget responsibility for relevant populations.
The Learning & Development Manager will ideally have a minimum of five years’ relevant work experience in Learning & Development Manager in a similar role. Any executive or career coaching qualification and experience would be advantageous. The right candidate will have some experience in people management along with the experience of exploring development needs in individuals. It will be essential to have an awareness of and enthusiasm for learning technology and possess excellent communication & organisational skills particularly in dealing with senior stakeholders and various teams. The Learning & Development Manager will be solution focused, collaborative & confident.
