Overview
Role Description: We are looking for a Senior Risk Control Surveyor, with a focus on Property, Business Interruption, Natural Hazards and Casualty. Our Loss Control Engineering team is made up of experienced engineers from a wide range of technical and scientific disciplines. The team provides a flexible range of risk consulting services. The primary role is to undertake risk control surveys, both remotely and on site.
Responsibilities
* Engaging directly with the customer to determine if the hazards associated with the trade are adequately managed, negotiate any risk improvements and produce reports within agreed quality and service standards.
* Collaborate with other business areas, deal with technical referrals, training and sharing of best practice as appropriate.
* Be provided with a training programme and ongoing support to thrive and support customers with technical guidance.
This is a home based role, covering the UK South West region.
Salary
Salary: Circa £55,000 per year. Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
Essential Experience and Skills
* Understanding of insurance gained from a current or previous role in risk control.
* Sense of commercial judgement and business acumen.
* Organised and articulate with an attention to detail.
* Highly proactive approach to personal development, service delivery and ability to demonstrate positive behaviour.
* Ability to assess risk, the exposure it presents and the application of appropriate loss control measures.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Valid and current UK driving licence essential.
Essential Qualifications
* ACII qualified, other risk management qualification, or continuing progress towards.
* Strong experience working as a Risk Controls Surveyor.
* Able to travel to the South West of England.

* NEBOSH Certification; however, not a requirement.
