An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic Major Projects and Infrastructure Team at Hull City Council at a senior strategic level.
We are seeking candidates with a bridge engineering and contract management background paired with strong leadership skills to deliver and maintain the bridges capital programme.
The Bridges Asset Manager will represent the team in both internal and external meetings to ensure the safely maintenance of the highway network in Hull with an approved £42m budget for the next 5 years.
The role will also involve the management of the bridges team who are responsible for over 200 structures, fountains and statues ensuring that Hull’s network is safe and fit for purpose.
The successful candidate will work closely with the bridge engineers, Head of Place and Highways Infrastructure, the Assistant Director of major Projects and Infrastructure and other professional staff across the Council to deliver a coherent and affordable rolling bridges capital programme that will facilitate asset improvement and support associated city-wide regeneration plans. They will also engage with a range of stakeholders, including residents, businesses and Portfolio Holders.
