Assistant Management AccountantOverview
My client are seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join their established finance team. As one of the largest players in food distribution businesses in the UK, with a heritage of more than 25 years, they are committed to delivering excellence in their finance function to support our overall strategic aims and objectives. The Assistant Management Accountant will work directly with the Management Accountant and wider team, supporting the overall strategic aims and objectives of the business.

Responsibilities
* Supporting the Group Management Accountant with the month end process
* Help with the production of accruals and prepayments
* Preparation of balance sheet reconciliation's with journal entry where necessary
* Preparation and review of working documents for use within the Management Accounts
* Providing help with the purchase and sales ledger teams
* Production of routine and ad-hoc reports as required
* Cash-flow reporting and forecasting
QualificationsRequired
* Knowledge of general IT systems and applications including spreadsheets, word processing and databases
* Knowledge of general office practices and procedures
* Experience of maintaining comprehensive records
* Experience of prioritising workload, time management and dealing with conflicting priorities
Desirable
* Previous experience of general financial administrative practices and procedures
* Experience with Pegasus Opera 3 (Payroll and Accounts Package)
* Experience of producing financial documentation using information technology
