Technical Assistant - Construction 27,237 - 28,394 1.0 FTE / 35 Hours Based at Alloa Campus Permanent The Department of STEM and Construction wish to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Technical Assistant within Construction to work with the lecturing staff to support learners across SCQF levels 4 to 8. You will work across all areas of the Construction delivery in the Construction workshops and classrooms. Key duties in this post include: Working safely and adhering to Health and Safety protocols. Preparing materials and solutions and setting up equipment or use in practical classes. Maintaining and running the Construction Equipment. Assisting with fault finding on equipment. Setting up materials and appropriate equipment to assist the lecturers. Retrieving and clearing away equipment and materials. Assisting with the monitoring and restocking consumables in the workshops. Assisting with stocktaking in particular with the annual stock take Ensuring all equipment is working correctly. Supporting the teaching staff and other technicians in the department. You will ideally have a Construction trade qualification although applicants with relevant industrial experience will be considered. You will be an adaptable and innovative individual with a passion for Construction and education. Ideally you will have experience working in a similar role. Travel between campuses will be required as part of this role and therefore a driving license is desirable.
