The Role
As a Music Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality music lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Key Responsibilities
1. Teaching and Delivering Lessons: Plan and deliver engaging music lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, creating an inspiring learning environment for students.
2. Fostering Musical Development: Encourage students to explore a variety of musical genres and techniques, developing their skills in performance, composition, and theory.
3. Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assess students’ progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their potential.
4. Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in the Music Department to share resources, ideas, and best practices, ensuring a consistent and high standard of teaching.
5. Extra-Curricular Activities: Lead and support music-related extracurricular activities, such as concerts, ensembles, and musical performances, providing students with opportunities to showcase their talents and further develop their musical skills.
What We Are Looking For
1. Qualifications: A degree in Music or a related subject, along with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification.
2. Experience: Experience teaching Music at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with a proven ability to engage and inspire students.
3. Passion for Music: A genuine passion for music and a desire to share this enthusiasm with students, helping them develop their skills and creativity.
