Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven person to join our Operational Services team as we face the challenges of improving our recycling services and introducing new collection schemes.
The postholder will work closely with residents and businesses throughout Pendle promoting and encouraging participation in our new weekly food waste collection service as well as our existing dry mixed material recycling services.
The Service recognises to drive change we need to be able to communicate clearly and continuously on all levels to encourage our resident and customers to join us on the path to improvement.
The postholder will ideally have experience of working within a role where they have had contact with residents, neighbourhood groups, community leaders, schools or business groups.
The postholder will need to be flexible as some weekend, public Bank Holiday and evening working may be required to deliver our messages.
Pendle is in Lancashire’s scenic Pennines, close to the Yorkshire Dales, Lake District, and Manchester.
Responsibilities
* Promote and encourage participation in the new weekly food waste collection service as well as existing dry mixed material recycling services.
* Work closely with residents and businesses throughout Pendle to communicate messages and drive participation.
* Communicate clearly and continuously on all levels to encourage residents and customers to join the path to improvement.
* Engage with residents, neighbourhood groups, community leaders, schools or business groups as appropriate.
* Be flexible to accommodate weekend, bank holiday, and evening working to deliver messages.
Qualifications
* Experience in a role with contact with residents, neighbourhood groups, community leaders, schools or business groups is desirable.
