Job Description: Business Development Representative (BDR)

📍 Location: United Kingdom (Remote)

The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to play a pivotal role in driving new business growth.

As the first point of contact for prospective clients, you will be responsible for identifying and engaging key decision-makers, generating qualified opportunities, and contributing directly to the commercial pipeline.

This role is ideal for someone who is commercially driven, proactive, and confident operating in a fast-paced, target-led environment, with a strong interest in digital commerce and technology.


Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Prospecting

* Identify and research target organisations across key sectors (eCommerce, retail, B2B)
* Build and manage a high-quality pipeline of prospective clients
* Leverage tools such as LinkedIn, CRM systems, and outbound platforms to drive activity

Outreach & Engagement

* Execute multi-channel outbound strategies (email, phone, social)
* Craft tailored messaging to engage senior stakeholders (e.g. CMO, Head of eCommerce, Digital Director)
* Secure high-quality discovery meetings for the sales team

Qualification

* Understand client challenges, objectives, and budget considerations
* Assess and qualify opportunities against defined criteria
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within CRM systems

Collaboration

* Partner closely with marketing to align on campaigns and messaging
* Work with senior sales stakeholders to convert opportunities
* Share market insights and feedback to refine targeting strategies

Performance & Optimisation

* Consistently meet or exceed activity and pipeline targets
* Monitor performance metrics and conversion rates
* Continuously refine outreach strategies to improve effectiveness

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

* Qualified meetings booked
* Pipeline value generated
* Outreach-to-meeting conversion rates
* Activity levels (calls, emails, social engagement)

Candidate Profile

* Proven experience in a BDR/SDR or sales-focused role (ideally within digital, tech, or eCommerce)
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Highly organised with a data-driven approach to performance
* Self-starter with a proactive, resilient mindset
* Comfortable working in a remote, fast-paced environment
