About the Role
As an Audit Manager, you will lead and manage audit engagements across a varied client base. Your core responsibilities will include:
* Managing a portfolio of clients with significant fee value
* Leading end‑to‑end audit assignments and overseeing audit teams
* Identifying and assessing risks, ensuring robust audit execution
* Acting as the main point of contact for clients and resolving queries
* Ensuring audit work meets professional standards and internal quality requirements
* Coaching, mentoring and developing junior team members
* Supporting business development activities and client service enhancements
This role offers a hybrid working model and autonomy to apply your technical expertise while working closely with senior stakeholders.
Requirements
Who We’re Looking For
Our ideal candidate will have:
* A recognised accounting qualification such as ACA or ACCA (or equivalent)
* Demonstrable experience managing audit assignments and teams
* Strong technical knowledge of UK auditing and accounting standards
* Excellent client relationship skills and commercial awareness
* A proactive and organised approach with great leadership ability
* Experience in substantive and controls‑based audits and familiarity with financial reporting frameworks including UK GAAP, IFRS and FRS standards
