Overview
Arup’s Air Quality team operates as a national practice, sharing resources and projects across UK offices. We are looking for an experienced Senior/ Principal Air Quality Consultant to join the National team in the UK, with base in London, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Newcastle or Leeds.
Responsibilities
* Lead a wide range of air quality projects within multidisciplinary teams or as standalone projects.
* Provide high quality technical consultancy and advisory support to clients.
* Lead the delivery of projects on time and to budget.
* Lead technical air quality assessments and reports and support site visits where necessary.
* Support business development and win work, and provide technical and pastoral support to junior team members.
What you’ll need
* A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant subject.
* Member of the Institute of Air Quality Management (IAQM) and Institution of Environmental Science (IES). Chartered status with IAQM/IES or actively working towards it is desirable.
* Demonstrable track record of leading and managing a wide range of air quality projects in terms of scale and sector.
* Highly competent using air quality dispersion software (e.g. ADMS, AERMOD) with pre- and post-processing analysis. Proficient in GIS and data visualisation tools (OpenAir, PowerBI, etc.). Python or carbon assessment experience desirable.
* Full UK/EU driving licence.
