Overview
University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust wishes to appoint a Consultant in Histopathology, with an interest in pulmonary pathology and one or more of gynaecological, GI/HPB and skin pathology.
Contract
This role is available as either a permanent consultant position or a fixed term consultant contract for a duration of 6 to 12 months. The service covers the local Southampton population and regional referrals from around Wessex.
Responsibilities
* You will contribute to the established and experienced pulmonary pathology subspecialist team, plus at least one other, including reporting of histology and cytology specimens, dissection and MDT\'s.
* Other areas of interest, including autopsy work, can also be discussed.
Teaching and training
As the regional training centre, you will be involved in post graduate teaching and training. Strong links with University of Southampton provide opportunities to be involved in undergraduate teaching.
