We are looking for a caring, reliable, and committed Welfare Assistant (Lunchtime Supervisor) to join Preston Muslim Girls High School.
This role plays a vital part in ensuring our pupils enjoy a safe, positive, and well-supervised lunchtime environment.
As a school dedicated to providing a secure, nurturing, and values-based setting, we are seeking individuals who can support our ethos and contribute to the well-being of our students.
Key Responsibilities
Supervising pupils during lunchtime in the dining hall, playground, corridors, and other designated areas.
Promoting and maintaining good behaviour in line with school expectations.
Ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and general conduct of pupils at all times.
Managing any incidents calmly and appropriately, following school procedures.
Supporting the smooth running of lunchtime routines, including movement between areas.
Providing basic assistance with tidying, cleaning tables, and maintaining a safe environment.

Someone reliable and punctual, with a warm and approachable manner.
An individual who can build positive relationships with pupils.
A calm, patient, and confident presence when managing behaviour or resolving issues.
The ability to uphold safeguarding responsibilities and follow school policies.
Experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.
Hours
1 hour 15 minutes per day, Monday to Thursday
