GSL Education are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming school in Barnsley. In this role of Cover Supervisor, you will ensure continuity of learning when teachers are absent and provide support across a variety of subjects and classes. As a Cover Supervisor, your responsibilities will include: Supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher. Ensuring students remain engaged, focused, and on task during lessons. Implementing the planned learning activities and maintaining classroom routines. Supporting students with additional needs when required. Maintaining a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment. To be successful as a Cover Supervisor, you should: Have experience working with children in a school or educational setting. Be confident, organised, and able to manage classroom behaviour effectively. Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Hold an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one. Provide a full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
