It is essential that as our Wedding General Manager you have exceptional organisational & communication skills and, through your outgoing personality, deliver exceptional weddings and events, adhering to our exceptionally high standards of service and customer care.
We are looking for a strong leader who is not afraid to make changes that drive efficiencies and most importantly make an impact.
You must have at least 2 years experience running an exclusive use venue, either as a General Manager or Venue Manager.
Job Description :
Manage the day-today operations of our award-winning venue.
Manage the setup of the venue for all weddings and events.
Manage the on the day operation of weddings or events.
Ensure excellent customer service by coaching staff on how to exceed guest expectations and take steps to identify and support training needs.
Manage and facilitate the food and beverage operations including the effective management of the team including producing rotas in a timely manner.
Manage the recruitment and retention of the venue operations team.
Work closely and forge a great relationship with the Head Chef and catering team.
Ensure that the venue is immaculate at all times for weddings, events, corporate customers & viewing appointments.
Ensure any issues or damages are reported to the maintenance and housekeeping team.
Use your creativity and eye for detail to ensure your venue stands apart from the rest.
Be involved in beverage stock takes, new product implementations, bar cleanliness, cellar management, stock rotation and waste management.
Manage the ordering of beverage stock while achieving group targets.
Confidently deliver Master of Ceremonies duties
Work alongside the Sales and Events team to undertake showrounds at the venue and be present on open days to liaise with our customers when required.
Have input into the sales strategy of the site to ensure revenue is maximised across all channels.
To be present and manage your venue food tastings and be the main contact for our couples regarding all food and beverage in the evening.
To be able to work in other areas of the business with a willing and flexible attitude.
A full clean drivers license is essential.
Salary up to £45k plus £5k bonus, depending on experience (45 hours).
