Occupational Therapist - Living Well with Psychosis

The role involves delivering a rehabilitation-focused service specifically for patients with complex psychosis within the OPAC directorate. In partnership with the patient/service user, the Occupational Therapist supports aligning the person's abilities with the demands of their occupations and environment to improve independence and participation in daily life.
The Occupational Therapist, working with the service user, will develop agreed goals, foster hope and optimism, and help reduce stigma. In line with NICE guidelines, the post holder will provide coordinated psychiatric rehabilitation through assessments, interventions, and the principles of recovery.
The Occupational Therapist will collaborate with all disciplines as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure high standards of care for service users and their relatives/carers.
