Job role: Support Worker
Location: Witnesham, Suffolk
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 42 hours per week, based on a 4-week rota of 24-hour shifts (9:30am-10:00am). Waking nights may occasionally be required.
Salary: From £27,518.40 per year, with potential increases depending on qualifications and experience
Experience: 1 year in a children's residential setting preferred
Work Authorisation: Must be eligible to work in the UK- Sponsorship is not available
Eleven 11 Recruitment is proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client for the role of Residential Support Worker at a respected children's home in Witnesham, Suffolk.
Responsibilities
* Delivering person-centred care and daily support in a homely setting
* Encouraging young people to achieve personal goals and develop life skills
* Ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents
* Working in line with statutory frameworks and care plans
* Building trusting relationships with young people, colleagues, and external agencies
* Collaborating with the management team to deliver high-quality care
Qualifications
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent (Essential)
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (Desirable — or willingness to complete)
* Knowledge of Children\'s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and Ofsted inspection frameworks
* Minimum of 2 years\' Experience in a senior residential childcare role
* Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
* Passion for supporting vulnerable children and young people to thrive

* Hold or are willing to work toward a Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare
