A Schematics Lead Hand performs the daily operations of plants to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. Includes Service Shops.
As a Schematics Lead Hand, you will be responsible for
1. Leading motivating and guiding a team. Maintain high housekeeping standards and accountability.
2. Production Management: Organize resources, delegate tasks, manage workflow, and ensure daily/weekly targets are met.
3. Quality Assurance: Inspect work, troubleshoot defects, conduct quality checks, and ensure compliance with company/client standards and codes.
4. Health & Safety: Promote and enforce strict safety protocols, conduct safety checks, and ensure proper use of PPE.
5. Technical Expertise: Perform, instruct Orbital welding & CNC bending. Interpret engineering drawings and co-ordinate shift handovers
6. Training & Development: Identify welder training and coding, mentor junior welders, and support skill development.
7. Communication & Coordination: Work closely with welding team and supporting functions ensure efficient operations and timely delivery.
8. Admin & Reporting: Manage time booking, maintain inventory of consumables, monitor KPIs, and report on team performance.

To be successful in this role, you should have:
9. SVQ Level 3 Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
10. Ability to work well on your own or in a team
11. Be part of a 6S lean environment
12. Positive safety and EHS awareness
13. Orbital Welding
14. Experience in CNC Bending
15. Have a Permanent work permit in UK
