Manufacturing Team Leader
DC Personnel are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Team Leader to join a busy manufacturing and packaging operation.
Location: Leicester
Contract: Permanent role
Hours: 37 hours per week. Monday - Thursday: 13:30 – 22:00 & Friday: 12:00 – 17:00
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Shift Allowance: £70 per week (paid in addition to base salary)
Overview of the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day‑to‑day leadership and supervision of production and packaging activities within a regulated manufacturing environment. This is a hands‑on leadership role requiring strong knowledge of compliance standards, team management skills, and the ability to coordinate production activities efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise the manufacture and packaging of licensed products using dedicated production equipment
* Oversee the use and operation of production vessels and equipment
* Review and complete batch records to a high standard
* Lead, motivate, and manage a team of operators (up to 8 staff)
* Coordinate and deliver staff training and development
* Generate, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
* Coordinate production activities and liaise with support functions including materials management, engineering, and quality teams
* Manage team performance, including appraisals, mentoring, and feedback
What you will have
* Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (GMP or similar)
* Proven line management or supervisory experience
* Ability to work on own initiative and escalat as appropriate
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Confident, organised, and capable of leading a small production team
