Salary: £55,000 + OTE

About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic Sales Manager with proven experience in driving growth within the social housing or energy sector. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in social housing, energy services, or void energy solutions, with a track record of delivering strong sales results.
This is a selling role as well as a management position, directly responsible for generating new business, managing key client relationships, and closing deals, while also shaping the wider sales strategy.

_________________________Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
* Take a hands-on approach to selling energy solutions into social housing, local authority, and energy markets.
* Develop and execute a sales strategy to drive new business and increase market share.
* Build, nurture, and maintain strong client relationships with housing associations, local authorities, energy providers, and contractors.
* Lead sales for void energy services and other tailored solutions.
* Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities, consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
* Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to negotiation and deal closure.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Keep up to date with market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes.
* Represent the business at industry events, networking opportunities, and client meetings.
Sales Generation
* Proactively engage in prospecting and deal closure to ensure a consistent influx of high-quality leads.
* Use multiple channels (digital marketing, referrals, partnerships) to generate leads and expand the customer base.
* Build a pipeline of qualified prospects through consistent follow-up and engagement efforts.
* Close deals effectively by understanding client needs and guiding prospects through the sales process.
Market & Service Expertise
* Develop expert knowledge of the social housing market to inform strategic decision-making and product positioning.
* Stay proficient in new products and services through training, ensuring thorough knowledge is applied by the team.
* Tailor sales pitches to address client-specific needs and challenges.
Brand Representation
* Act as a brand ambassador, representing the companys values, culture, and vision.
* Ensure all sales communications and presentations align with branding guidelines.
* Contribute to new business opportunities through events and networking.
Reporting & Analysis
* Maintain and update the CRM system with accurate records of sales activities, leads, and client interactions.
* Track progress of leads through the sales pipeline and manage follow-up tasks.
* Generate regular reports to senior management to analyse performance, forecast revenue, and identify trends.
Collaboration
* Work with marketing to create sales materials, promotional campaigns, and lead generation initiatives.
* Collaborate with technical teams to resolve issues and ensure a smooth client experience.

Required:
* Proven hands-on B2B sales experience, ideally within energy or social housing.
* Experience in void energy management/services or selling energy solutions.
* Strong business development skills with success in achieving sales targets.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Commercially astute, self-motivated, and able to work independently and in a team.
Desirable:
* Established network within the energy or social housing sectors.
* Knowledge of UK regulatory frameworks for energy and housing.
* Experience managing key accounts as well as winning new business.
* Previous leadership or mentoring experience in a sales environment.
