Installation Operative
To help us achieve our expansion ambitions, we are looking for an Installation Operative to join our growing team. If you have experience in civil engineering, the construction industry, or have an armed forces background, and are seeking a career in a reputable business with excellent progression opportunities, this role is for you.
We are seeking candidates based in the Newport/Cardiff area who can commute to our Bristol branch and support operations in South Wales. The role primarily involves working on customer sites, including construction, wastewater, and clean water projects, with occasional visits to the branch.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
* Promote and uphold the company's mission statement and core values to deliver high-quality installation services across the UK.
* Install pipework and assist drivers with loading/unloading vehicles, checking paperwork, missing items, damages, and fuel charges.
* Maintain good physical fitness, as the role is physically demanding.
* Identify and suggest creative solutions to improve business efficiency and attractiveness.
* Prioritize safety at all times, demonstrating confidence and knowledge to halt installations if safety issues arise, and advising supervisors accordingly.
* Work effectively on client sites, including construction, wastewater, and clean water environments.
* Be flexible with working hours and available for an 'on call' rota, likely 1 in 3 weekends.
* Travel throughout the UK and work away from home as needed.
* Hold a full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points).
Preferred Qualifications (not essential):
* Construction Skills CSCS card
* National Water Hygiene Card
* Confined space training
* Forklift truck operator certification
* Knowledge of temporary/permanent pumping solutions
This role involves working at heights, in confined spaces, lone working, and with sewage.
