CT Radiographer

We are looking for highly motivated Diagnostic Radiographers to join our existing CT team. We are fortunate enough to utilise 4 Canon CT scanners and 1 photon counting CT scanner that was installed in May 2025. These are across 2 sites.
The range of CT examinations performed is extremely varied and includes trauma imaging, neuro, cardiac, vascular and abdominal imaging including colonography. We also have a commitment towards supporting and developing clinical trials.
Applicants will have a DCR or BSc in Diagnostic Radiography and also have HCPC registration. Applicants should have good communication skills, the ability to multi‑task and work as part of our existing team.
The contract on offer is based in CT, rotational across 2 sites within STH.
Participation in CT out of hours shifts and on call from home rota is also expected.
Main duties of the job
To provide a high quality, responsive diagnostic radiographic service as part of a multi‑disciplinary team, whilst maintaining a high standard of patient care.
To ensure that safe practice is carried out in accordance with departmental protocols.
Practically to carry out CT examinations accurately, safely and efficiently.
To have a basic level of skill & knowledge in relevant aspects of Radiography encountered in CT scanning, acting as a role model for more junior radiographers and developing their skills.
To maintain positive professional links with other medical and non‑medical staff and promote good service and standards within CT.
To deputise for the Superintendent in the absence of the Deputy Superintendent and liaise with the same to ensure continuity and communication within the speciality at all times.
To take daily responsibility for, and direct, the organisation and workflow.

Person Specification
Education and Qualifications
* DCR or BSc in Diagnostic Radiography
* HCPC registration
* Post graduate training or education at Graduate certificate / diploma level
* Specialised short courses in relevant imaging subjects and/or experience to graduate certificate or diploma level or equivalent qualification/experience.
* Masters level / Post graduate Certificate / Diploma level study in CT
Experience
* CPD portfolio or relevant evidence showing clinical working at graduate certificate / diploma level
* NHS or UK based experience in Medical ImagingParticipate in professional lectures, study days and workshops
* Experience at Senior 1/ Band 6 Radiographer/Practitioner grade
* Experience of audit, teaching and supervision
