We are seeking a Career Consultant specialising in Architecture to mentor and guide students as they develop their professional profiles and career strategies. The consultant will support students in exploring the architecture field, securing internships, building employability skills, and preparing for future academic and professional opportunities.

Responsibilities
* Mentorship & Guidance: Provide one-on-one career mentoring tailored to a student pursuing architecture.
* Career Pathway Planning: Develop a clear roadmap for employability in architecture, starting from undergraduate years.
* Internship & Experience Support: Guide students on how to research, apply for, and secure internships, placements, and work experience opportunities in architecture and related fields.
* Profile Building: Assist in creating a competitive employability profile, including CV, portfolio, and LinkedIn optimisation for architecture careers.
* Sector Insight: Share knowledge of current industry practices, qualifications, and trends in the architecture sector.
* Workshops & Check-Ins: Deliver structured sessions, workshops, and regular progress check-ins, aligned with Oxford Comma’s profile-building programme.
* Parental & Student Communication: Maintain clear, supportive communication with students and, where appropriate, their families.
Essential Requirements
* A degree in Architecture (undergraduate or postgraduate).
* Professional experience in the architecture sector, ideally including both internship and post-graduate work.
* Strong understanding of employability pathways in architecture (licensing, RIBA, ARB, etc.).
* Ability to mentor and inspire young people to take ownership of their career development.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
* Pedagogical training or a background in teaching, tutoring, or coaching.
* Previous experience in mentoring students or early-career professionals.
* Knowledge of international education pathways for architecture (eg differences in UK, US, and EU systems).
