Your new company and role This company is an exciting and innovative sports start-up with a passion for eco-friendly technology. The growing team is looking for a media lawyer to join them 3 or 4 days a week on a hybrid basis. This role will regularly collaborate with different areas of the business, particularly the media and content teams.
What you'll need to succeed
* Experience with media rights and distribution deals with content distributors, broadcasters, OTT providers and other emerging platforms.
* An ability to draft and negotiate digital rights deals with telecommunication operators and direct carrier billing (DCB) companies.
* A commercially minded approach to advising on legal and regulatory issues relating to media rights and broadcasting.
* Previous experience with live events and related agreements including production, location, operational and talent release agreements.
* A driven and solutions-focused approach to finding practical legal solutions.
* Previous experience in sports is preferred.
* 6-8 PQE as a guideline only.
