The School of Travel, Food and Drink, based at the historic Printworks Campus, is seeking a motivated and experienced Course Leader of Culinary Skills to lead and develop our Level 2 Diploma, Level 3 Advanced Professional Cookery programmes, and adult learner groups. The School of Travel, Food and Drink offers a wide range of courses, from Entry Level Culinary Skills through to Level 2 Diplomas, Level 3 Advanced Professional Cookery, and Patisserie, Butchery, and Cake Decoration.

What You Will Do
1. Lead on the delivery and coordination of Level 2 Diploma, Level 3 Advanced Professional Cookery, and adult course provision
2. Be responsible for the development and review of courses, ensuring they reflect current industry standards and practices
3. Teach across these programmes, building strong, supportive relationships with learners to promote engagement, confidence, and success
4. Lead on attendance and punctuality, implementing timely interventions and working closely with parents and guardians to support learner progress
5. Track and monitor learner progress, ensuring all learners are supported to thrive, achieve, and successfully progress
6. Review teaching, learning, and assessment to ensure learners receive outstanding teaching and learning experiences
7. Develop and embed industry connections within the curriculum, working with employers and partners to enhance learners’ skills, knowledge, and employability
8. Managing the assessment of own courses and that of others who teach on your courses is a key aspect of the CL role, ensuring that IQA plans are in place and updated regularly to satisfy the EQA annual process
About You
* You are an experienced teacher with a proven track record of teaching within a culinary or hospitality setting
* You have previous experience of managing a curriculum, ensuring high-quality delivery and learner outcomes
* You hold a Level 5 teaching qualification (or equivalent)
* You are self-motivated, ambitious, and driven to achieve strong results for learners
* You are committed to positively managing and supporting learners to help them progress and achieve their full potential
* You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to work effectively with learners, parents/guardians, and employers
* You are professional, organised, and passionate about learner success and continuous improvement
