We are looking for a proactive and experienced Duty Manager to join our busy café in Cumbria. This full-time, permanent position is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to providing outstanding customer service.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Oversee daily café operations and ensure the café runs smoothly.
* Manage and schedule staff, ensuring adequate coverage during peak times.
* Train new staff members and provide ongoing training for existing staff.
* Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues to maintain high customer satisfaction.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
* Monitor café performance and report on financial targets, operational goals, and staff performance.
* Implement strategies to improve efficiency and increase revenue.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Duty Manager or similar managerial role in the hospitality industry.
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a diverse team.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Ability to work flexibly over a 7-day period.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
* Proficient in using management software for scheduling and inventory.
