As the business continues to evolve, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Systems & Regulatory Lead to join its technical team and play a key role in shaping and maintaining robust quality systems and regulatory standards across the site. Your new role As the Quality Systems & Regulatory Lead, you will take ownership of the site's Quality Management System, ensuring all procedures, documents and records remain current, controlled and fully compliant with internal, customer and legislative requirements. You will maintain regulatory oversight for all products, ensuring full compliance with UK and EU food law, including labelling, allergen management and ingredient declarations. A key part of the role will involve coordinating BRCGS and customer audits, maintaining audit readiness, managing documentation and supporting audit follow up. You will work closely with Procurement, NPD, Production and Commercial teams to support specification management, raw material compliance, supplier documentation and customer queries. In addition, you will lead internal audits, drive continuous improvement across quality systems and food safety culture, and provide supervision, coaching and development for one direct report. This is a pivotal role with strong cross functional influence and responsibility. What you'll need to succeed To be successful, you will have experience in a technical, quality, food safety or quality systems role within the food manufacturing industry, along with strong knowledge of BRCGS, HACCP and regulatory requirements. You will have proven ability at managing QMS, internal audits and compliance processes, as well as reviewing specifications, artwork and product labelling. Strong communication, organisational and problem solving skills are essential, along with the confidence to lead, influence and develop others. A proactive mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast moving environment will be key to excelling in this role. Qualifications such as HACCP Level 3/4, Food Safety or Internal Auditing are desirable but not essential.
