Maintenance Worker (Mechanical) Band 4
1. Carry out multi-skilled engineering tasks, primarily mechanical, including gas systems, refrigeration, electrical, drainage, and basic building maintenance across Trust premises.
2. Ensure compliance with occupational hazards related to these elements.
3. Support and promote a reliable, high-quality, flexible, and proactive customer-oriented service within the Estates Department.
4. Assist in maintaining a well-maintained, clean, safe, accessible, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
5. When visiting Mental Health units, act in a kind, caring, and positive manner, considering clients' conditions and disabilities, and adopt a calm, sympathetic approach when dealing with difficult or confrontational clients.
6. Ensure all tools and equipment are used conscientiously at all times in Mental Health units.
7. Attend a recognised plumbing training course and maintain an up-to-date training matrix to meet job requirements.
8. Employment requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover. Applicants subscribing to the DBS update service may present a valid DBS certificate instead of a new check.
9. Applicants requiring current Skilled Worker sponsorship are ineligible to apply.
