Salary: FC4 - £25,885.80 - £28,75.91

Working Pattern: 36 hours per week - Monday to Friday 11am – 7pm

Location: Halbeath Deport, Halbeath, Dunfermline covering Fife Wide

A new exciting opportunity has arisen in the Housing & Safer Communities Service as a Housing Estates Management Officer working from our new CCTV hub monitoring and patrolling high rise blocks throughout Fife.

Key aspects of the Housing Estate Management Officer role will include:

1. Help to deliver a 24-hour service which addresses estate management in high rise blocks and the local community, react to emerging issues and support the work of Housing & Communities.

2. Being part of a team of Housing Estate Management Officers who work in Multi-Storey blocks and out in the community across Fife providing residents with a friendly, clean and safe environment to live in.

3. Delivering an enhanced concierge service focused on improving community safety within the 12 tower blocks across Fife. It will be important to address estate management issues and reassure residents their concerns are being dealt with promptly.

4. Monitor CCTV & alarm systems within the CCTV Control Room/Multi Storey blocks, deliver/co-ordinate appropriate responses to incidents/activations as they arise, and liaise with the emergency services when necessary.

5. You will provide a front-line service, monitoring/patrolling/cleaning and supporting the work of the wider Housing & Safer Communities Teams.

The Person

6. Ideally the candidate would be educated to SCQF level 4, which includes National 4 or Standard Grades at General level or ‘O’ Grades or equivalent.

7. The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate an understanding of customer care and have excellent communication skills. They should be able to work unsupervised as required and use their own initiative to solve problems.

8. Be able to evidence communication, organisational and. skills.

9. Have working knowledge of CCTV equipment and the ability to embrace technology.

10. Current best practice in caretaking/concierge service or similar environment.

11. Have a flexible approach to work, hours and locations and have the ability to travel throughout Fife.

12. Can form good working relationships with others.
