Experienced Process Engineer required for Global Manufacturer based at their site in Plymouth. As a key member of the Engineering function, the successful candidate will support safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the sites processes and associated equipment. The role combines technical problem-solving with process optimisation, driving quality, repeatability, and productivity through robust process control, standardisation, and technical support.
Working closely with Production, Maintenance, and Quality, the Manufacturing Process Engineer will lead initiatives that improve first-time yield, cycle times, and scrap reduction, while supporting TPM, SMED, and automation projects as part of the sites continuous improvement journey.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop, document, and optimise equipment parameters to achieve consistent quality and performance.
2. Lead troubleshooting of process-related issues on machinery, tooling, and auxiliary equipment, ensuring rapid root-cause identification and sustainable corrective actions.
3. Support the introduction, commissioning, and validation of new equipment and tooling, ensuring correct set-up, safe handover, and adherence to the tooling commissioning process.
