Integrity Education Solutions are supporting a unique and independent specialist education provider based in London, offering therapeutic education to children and young people with special educational needs and neurodiverse profiles. A unique and rewarding opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced Art Therapist to join an innovative virtual therapeutic education team delivering specialist support to children and young people with complex needs. This fully remote role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact within a national online school designed to support pupils with neurodiverse identities, emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA), and significant trauma histories. Key Responsibilities: * Deliver remote art therapy assessments and interventions to children and young people with complex co-morbid needs. * Provide therapeutic input for pupils with highly specialised needs, including those with significant trauma or mental health challenges. * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, teaching staff, and families to develop and implement therapeutic strategies. * Use art-based techniques such as improvisation, storytelling, role-play, and symbolic expression to support emotional processing and communication. * Create a virtual therapeutic environment that supports young people in feeling safe and able to engage in education. * Write clear, insightful clinical reports and contribute to risk assessments and EHCP-related documentation. * Offer training, workshops and consultation to colleagues to promote therapeutic practice across the virtual school. * Participate in virtual group meetings and maintain accurate records in line with data protection and safeguarding guidelines. Qualifications & Registration: * Recognised degree in Art Therapy or equivalent. * Registration with the Health Professions Council (HCPC). * Registered member of the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT) or equivalent. Key Experience: * Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience, with at least 2 years in a specialist area such as, Trauma, complex mental health (Tier 3/4), school phobia, substance misuse, gang-related issues, exploitation, or high-risk youth. * Strong track record of working with children with SEMH and/or neurodiverse profiles, high-risk, vulnerable, or disengaged pupils, particularly those struggling in traditional educational environments.
