The Reception Teacher role — overview
The successful Reception Teacher will design continuous provision that balances child-led play with focused adult-led teaching. The Reception Teacher will lead daily phonics, prime-area development and early mathematics activities. The Reception Teacher will assess progress using formative observations and ensure smooth transitions into Year 1. This is a Full-Time Reception Teacher post: the Full-Time Reception Teacher will also access mentoring and bespoke CPD beginning in the weeks around the January 2026 start.
Reception Teacher — the profile we seek
We want an empathetic Reception Teacher with QTS or EYTS, strong Early Years practice and experience of outstanding pedagogy.
