DWP is the UK's largest government department. We help people into work, and make payments worth over £195bn a year to support some of the most vulnerable people in our society. We are looking for a Lead Product Manager to join our community of tech experts in DWP Digital. We're driving a once-in-a-generation transformation of government services. We're using fresh ideas and leading-edge technologies to build and maintain innovative, scalable and user-centric digital solutions that will be used by nearly every person in the UK, at key moments in their lives. The scale of what we do is extraordinary, and our purpose is unique. We'd love you to join us. Delivery. Work. Projects. We have roles leading on products across three key areas: Cyber Security, DWP Analytics (including Fraud and Error) and Data Platforms and Architecture across DWP's Digital Programmes. As a Lead Product Manager, you'll guide, support and lead product teams in one of these areas. You'll set the vision and strategy to deliver meaningful outcomes for users. You'll be as passionate about people as you are about products, guiding teams to design and deliver services that meet strategic goals and improve lives. We need you to develop product strategies and value-driven roadmaps, lead transformational change, and champion user-centred design. You'll work across organisational boundaries, build strong relationships, and ensure products are inclusive, accessible and high quality. You'll also manage and mentor Product Managers, support their development, and coordinate product delivery across multiple teams. You'll track performance, evaluate success, and work with suppliers to maximise value. What skills, knowledge and experience will you need? Problem Management - You can anticipate and prevent problems by seeing the bigger picture, using lateral thinking to break down issues and identify root causes. Relationship Management - You can shape strategic vision collaboratively, break down organisational barriers, and positively influence senior stakeholders while contributing to executive-level strategy. Data Analysis & Synthesis - You understand the power of data in decision-making and can lead change in analytical practices. You can guide others on data policy and support continuous improvement to generate valuable insights. User-Centred Analysis - You can align people around user needs using evidence, track evolving needs across channels, and ensure services meet those needs. You connect user insight with design and organisational value, applying strategic thinking and considering political context. Details. Wages. Perks. You'll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in Birmingham, Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle or Sheffield, whichever you prefer. We also have all the tools and tech we need to enable our people to work and collaborate flexibly. We work a hybrid model - you'll be in the office about 60% of the time, and 40% home working. We offer competitive pay of up to £80,267. You'll also get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth over 28.9%, and a generous leave package starting at 26 days. You can also take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi-time.
