This role combines responsibilities across quality testing and inspection, goods-in and goods-out processes, stock control, and production support. The Inspection & Test Technician will carry out tests and measurements in a controlled environment, in accordance with technical drawings, to ensure the high quality of incoming goods and finished products is maintained. The role also involves providing ongoing support to both the Quality and Production teams.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
1. Goods Inwards
o Receive all goods delivered to the Company.
o Carry out the inspection and testing of received goods (including customer returns and chemicals).
o Maintain the calibration log for all inspection tools and ensure timely calibration of equipment.
o Handle ERP system (JDE) transactions relevant to the movement of stock (booking it/out, transfer of stock etc.).
o Report all non-conformities in the system (Incident Log).
2. Goods Outwards
o Accurately pick stock items and ensure conformity to customer requirements, including documentation adherence to customer specifications, labels, and other requirements.
o Lead shipping logistics and documentation.
o Prepare shipping paperwork, including customs documentation, using predefined templates within specified deadlines.
o Carry out goods outwards inspections/out of box audits following relevant procedures.
o Complete records accurately, understand quality and compliance requirements, pack boxes securely, and organise collections.
o Liaise with various carriers for delivery to customers up to the point of delivery.
3. Stock Control
o Keep control of all stock parts (storage, batch control, traceability, system transactions).
o Issue stock parts to the production department as required (including WO picking, system transactions, delivery to shopfloor).
o Keep the working areas free of hazards and report all issues following company EHS procedures.
o Carry out stock checks, 5S+1 Audits, and other inspections as required.
4. General
o Assist Quality Engineer with incident investigation and disposition.
o For critical components, work with Quality Engineer to run programs that supervise part SPC and Quality.
o Assist with containment actions in stores for issues.
o Be responsible for collecting data and operator feedback where necessary.
o Undertake internal/external training as required.

* Extensive experience in quality inspection and testing (both mechanical and electrical).
* Ability to read and use technical drawings.
* Keen attention to detail for precise workmanship.
* Effective time management skills.
* Strong verbal communication skills.
* Proficiency in PC operations and MS Office applications.
* Manual handling training.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
* Good experience in stock management (previous experience in store activities desirable but not essential).
