Benefits include: Your benefits as a HGV Class 1 Driver are: Excellent hourly rates Paid breaks Minimum of nine hours pay per shift Weekly pay Immediate start Training provided Immediate starts Employee well-being programme Rates of pay: Basic: £17.00 per hour Saturday: £17.00 per hour for the first four hours and then £ 21.65 per hour Day-to-day duties: As a HGV Class 1 Driver your duties will include, but not be limited to : Multidrop deliveries and collections around Birmingham and surrounding areas Operating and driving Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Ensuring timely, safe and professional deliveries to customer sites Knowledge of driving/working hours Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management Keeping the truck and equipment clean and tidy Use of Curtain side trailers Essential skills: To be successful as a HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need: A valid UK Category CE licence A minimum of two years' experience driving CE vehicles No more than six penalty points for minor infringements, with no major endorsement codes A valid UK CPC card and Digi card Good spoken and written English Punctuality and excellent time-keeping skills A solid understanding of traffic laws and regulations Effective communication skills Desirable experience: Previous commercial driving experience Previous multi-drop delivery experience Training: Ongoing CPC Training is provided and ongoing support throughout Contact: If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity as a HGV Class 1 Driver, apply today by clicking the link below or contact our recruitment team to find out more People Solutions do not charge candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment process
