* Location: Animal Care Centre, Clough Road, Hull (with travel across Hull & East Riding)

* In this role you will: plan and deliver curriculum‐aligned school sessions; develop community workshops; build partnerships; and monitor impact to help grow our education programme.
* Key focus: animal welfare education, community engagement, and outreach.
* You’ll be great if you have: experience delivering education sessions, excellent presentation skills, strong organisation, and a passion for animal welfare (Enhanced DBS required).
Overall purpose of the role
The Education Coordinator will lead the development and delivery of the Branch’s education and outreach programmes. With a focus on prevention and awareness, the role aims to inspire compassion, responsible pet ownership, and animal welfare understanding in schools, community groups, and the wider public. Through engaging workshops, curriculum‑aligned school sessions, and local partnerships, the Education Coordinator will support the Branch’s charitable objectives while enhancing its visibility and impact.
Your tasks
Education Delivery
* Plan and deliver engaging, age‑appropriate sessions on animal welfare, rights, and responsible pet care in schools and colleges.
* Develop and deliver community‑based education workshops, including sessions for older people and at‑risk groups.
* Work alongside the Branch team to identify education opportunities at the Animal Care Centre and in local communities.
Programme Development
* Work with the Partnership Manager to expand the education offer in line with the Branch’s strategic objectives.
* Create and maintain a portfolio of educational resources, toolkits, and interactive learning materials.
* Develop bespoke learning for specific audiences, e.g. animal behaviour workshops, summer holiday clubs, and village hall learning sessions.
Monitoring and Evaluation
* Collect feedback, monitor attendance, and measure learning outcomes to inform improvements and demonstrate impact.
* Prepare quarterly reports on reach, satisfaction, and learning outcomes to support funding and strategic decision‑making.
Partnership Engagement
* Build and maintain partnerships with schools, youth groups, community organisations, and local authorities.
* Represent the Branch at education forums, events, and partnership networks to promote our education offer.
Person Profile
Essential Experience
* Experience delivering educational sessions to children or community groups.
* Ability to develop interactive learning materials and workshops.
* Experience working collaboratively with partners and stakeholders in schools or communities.
Desirable Experience
* Understanding of animal welfare issues, animal behaviour, or related educational themes.
* Experience working in or with an animal welfare charity.
Skills and Abilities
* Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage varied audiences.
* Organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple sessions and stakeholders.
* Creative and flexible approach to learning design and delivery.
* Confidence to work independently and take initiative.
Other Requirements
* Passionate about animal welfare and the mission of the RSPCA Hull and East Riding.
* Willing to travel across Hull and East Riding to deliver sessions.
* Flexibility to work evenings or weekends.
* Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).
* Driving license and access to a vehicle.
