About the Role

This is more than just a Mental Health First Aider role – it's an opportunity to be the heart of an innovative wellbeing programme making a tangible difference in industries where mental health support is often hard to access.

You'll be the welcoming, friendly face inside our Wellbeing Cabins – a unique space designed to break down barriers, spark conversations, and provide immediate, approachable support. Whether it's offering a listening ear, guiding someone to further help, or simply giving a busy worker five minutes of calm, you'll help create a safer, happier, and healthier workplace.

Our approach combines human connection with data-driven insight – every interaction helps us understand workforce wellbeing better and shape future initiatives. That means your work doesn't just help individuals in the moment, it also contributes to lasting change across entire organisations.

Key Responsibilities

● Be a visible, approachable point of contact for mental health support during your shifts.

● Provide confidential, non-judgmental listening and guidance to workers.

● Signpost individuals to appropriate internal or external resources.

● Host an inviting, engaging Wellbeing Cabin environment where people want to drop in and make use of the support and resources (or just take a 5 minute break)

● Support wellbeing events, activities, and targeted sessions based on identified needs.

● Capture anonymised interaction themes to help shape ongoing wellbeing strategies.

● Contribute to writing up a Wellbeing Insights report as a follow-up to each cabin.

● Collaborate with site managers and wellbeing leads to embed support into workplace culture.

You'll Need To Have:

● A current Mental Health First Aid qualification (MHFA England or equivalent) or equivalent qualification.

● Proven track record with mental health and an appetite to innovate within the space.

● Strong interpersonal and listening skills – the ability to build trust quickly.

● A grounded, empathetic approach to helping others in high-pressure environments.

● Confidence in adapting to different workplace cultures.

● Professionalism, discretion, and the ability to maintain clear boundaries.

● Willingness to travel to client locations (max. travel time to be agreed)

● Experience in construction, rail, or call centre environments (desirable, but not essential).

● Your own network of contacts you could introduce to our services (big plus).

What We Offer:

● Competitive daily/hourly freelance rates.

● Flexible scheduling to fit around your life.

● The satisfaction of knowing you're making a real, measurable difference.

● The chance to work in our innovative Wellbeing Cabins – spaces designed to make mental health support approachable and engaging.

● Ongoing support from our friendly team.

● A values-led, professional network of MHFAs who share your passion for making workplaces healthier.

● Revenue share opportunities for any new clients you bring onboard.

Why This Role is Different

You're not just "on site" – you're part of something much bigger. Our Wellbeing Cabins are backed by a smart, data-driven approach that turns everyday conversations into lasting improvements in workplace culture. Every survey, every interaction, and every piece of feedback contributes to change that reaches beyond one shift or one site.

If you want a role where you see the impact of your work, connect with people every day, and help drive the future of workplace wellbeing, this is it.
