Job Description
Based at our Media City campus, you should have experience of filmmaking and should be able to teach across AT LEAST TWO craft areas of filmmaking: directing, producing, scriptwriting, editing (e.g., AVID, Premier and DaVinci) or production managing. You will be familiar with a wide range of genres/forms, including drama, film, shorts, or features.
We particularly welcome applications from applicants who specialise in Editing or applicants who have the ability/experience to take the lead in our Professional Practice teaching:addressing areas of collaboration, production planning, working on set, wellbeing, and sustainability.
The successful candidate will teach practical elements on a variety of modules across our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.In addition, you will initiate and/or develop new creative opportunities in line with the Universitys strategic ambitions of collaboration with industry and enhancing our teaching and learning provision.
Key Responsibilities
* Design teaching materials and deliver them across a range of modules or within a subject area.
* Supervise student projects, including, where appropriate, field trips, placements, and postgraduate projects.
* Engage in scholarly activity linked to teaching and learning.
* Take a lead in own area of expertise, including leadership of modules.
