This is an exciting opportunity to join the newly formed Research, Enterprise & Innovation (RE&I) Services, part of the University’s Research, Enterprise & Business Development Directorate. We are a dynamic team committed to supporting research excellence, knowledge mobilisation, and innovation across the University.
Within RE&I Services, you’ll join the Development Services Team and will have responsibility for managing the daily operations of Unitemps, our in-house recruitment agency. Your responsibilities will include internal stakeholder and candidate management, effective marketing of the Unitemps service, driving Unitemps projects and initiatives, monthly finance reporting, legislative compliance, and undertaking prospecting activities with businesses, generating revenue from these relationships.
This is an important role within the Unitemps branch with key responsibility for the internal recruitment market.
Key responsibilities
1. Manage assignment requests from clients, discuss recruitment needs, advise on rates and university policies, and issue terms of business.
2. Monitor online applications, shortlist candidates, and arrange/conduct interviews as appropriate.
3. Ensure compliance with legislation, process personal data correctly, and accurately record information in the database.
4. Implement Unitemps strategy and policies, and improve branch processes and efficiencies.
5. Line management responsibility for the Unitemps Administrator and temporary staff supporting the branch.
6. Manage projects or work as part of collaborative teams.
How will you work?
18.5 hours per week. This role is typically campus-based due to its specialist nature or the need for in-person services.
